I don’t intend to enter another contest. No hard feelings toward any winners or honorable mention winners whatsoever, but apparently the votes and comments we work so hard to troll for are meaningless. I have other projects to focus my energies and time on now that I understand the votes and comments hold no sway.
I’ve heard from other Zazzlers who feel the same way, and felt the same way before this contest. I decided to give it one more shot to see if I agreed. I do.
Congratulations to the winner and honorable mentions. All your designs are great!

I don’t get Zazzle?..How is it that a t-shirt design with 65 votes and 15 comments wins, when Folkartblondes entry had WELL OVER 300votes and the same amount of comments. Is it because YOUR Winning pick Sold something. The last line in this announcement says “This contest Really Belongs To You”, meaning we artist of Zazzle. So how did This person win when we Artist Obviiously picked FolkartBlonde. I don’t mean to take away the glory of Wislander, it’s a great design, but We voted for FolkartBlonde…WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?..I think The Zazzle team had better Re-Difinen the rules for winning. Why should we all take the time to vote for our Favorite artist if the Zazzle Team is going to Pick WHO THEY WANT….captphrank

I was really disspointed that so many of the entries were lame, somewhat-offensive ideas.
People with REAL talent and artistic ability were overlooked and didn’t even get an honorable mention. I personally didn’t enter - I just followed the contest. I’m not an artist, so I don’t try to be. This could have been a really fun, encouraging contest to get artists from all over to work harder, get better, and produce some really high quality stuff - and instead, it seems more like Zazzle ended up driving off all the actual artists.

Some of my favorites won prizes… some of them didn’t. I imagine it’s not easy to decide which ones should win. Congratulations to everyone who won… I was hoping one of them would be me. Oh well. Go, Pirate shirt!

Congrats to all the winners! I deal with this thing a whole different way than most. If I come up with a design, I MIGHT enter and because I know the competition is so fierce and EVERYONE wants to win, I tell myself I WON’T WIN! That way I am not dissappointed. I got my hopes up on the first and second contests that I entered, and they were shot down. So I either don’t enter at all, or I say “dont plan on winning” - just to protect myself. I agree with some about pushing for votes. It’s ridiculous and I am not doing it! NO MORE. I might enter a contest but I refuse to BEG for votes, it’s humiliating. I will leave it up to the gods if I enter, or if I EVER got lucky enough to win. Let the people HONESTLY vote for my art, IF THEY LIKE IT! I hope this helps someone.

Yeah I’m a little confused on this one too–Honestly why didn’t the designs with the most votes win? Is it like Phrank suggested, that the winning product sold something? I cry Shenanigans! LOL The contests are fun and I love watching all the entries–so many of you guys have awesome talent it’s great to see. But GRATS! To the winners! How thrilling and exciting! Bask in the glory and enjoy your victory!

Folkartblonde’s entry was clearly the best and I thought the most original, and it was done in good taste.

Congrats Wislander and all Honarable mentions, great designs!

The contest is a great way to get exposure, introduce yourself, your work and your site to others, and practice rising to the challenge of creating a design with someone else’s concept as the starting point. I enjoyed participating, and send thanks to everyone who took the time to explore my site (pagliadesigns) and/or commented and voted on my entry!

You guys have to realize that some people enter the contest right before it’s almost over. How fair would it be to have the person who gets the most votes win, if some people post their entries a week or more before everyone else? The only fair way to have votes count would be for all the entries to go up and come down at the exact same time. If Zazzle wants to do it that way, that would be fine, but as the contest exists now, votes *can’t* count. Nowhere does it say that Zazzle is going to pick the design with the most comments or highest rating. At the same time, though, you’d be crazy to think they don’t notice the ones with high ratings and lots of comments. It obviously helps.
